One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Baton Rouge. Love their food. No buffet. All Fresh made and the service is great! The prices are great too!

Traditional "American" style Chinese -- not too many left that don't have buffet.

One of the best kept secrets in Baton Rouge. Too bad more people don't know about this restaurant. No buffet. Each order is prepared fresh. The lunch menu offers a great variety, and it may well be the best bargain in town. Recommended: Boneless chicken, moo goo gai pan, egg foo young, shrimp and vegetables, and for a dinner treat, try the Cantonese style pork chow mein.

Hands down my favorite place for pork fried rice! The place is just about empty every time I go but the "pfr" is so addictive. I have had a few if the chicken dishes too. Always freshly prepared. It is a shame that it is not busier. I

I hate to put another nail in the coffin of this sad little place, but for the good of humanity, they should move on and find a new line of work...cooking's not their calling. Flavorless, tough boneless fried chicken, pork fried rice disappointing. Called in, was told 20 minutes, took 40. I'm easy going but I felt sorry for them the whole time I was waiting. Won't go back.

I've been to Chinese restaurants in San Francisco historical Chinatown and New York, with that said this place was HORRIBLE the fried rice w/BBQ pork was the only good thing but they minced the pork so much that there was barely any to enjoy, the mandarin chicken tasted like cardboard w/cardboard gravy (where was the citrus, mandarin taste). Chow mein was the same. Everything tasted as if it was microwaved, just go to Mc'ds and save your cash. Not worth it!!

This a very nice low key place to have dinner , the food is very good .. When driving up it may look like it's close but it's open ... The inside is very nice !

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
